A 100-years old giant of American workwear, Dickies is a no-nonsense brand that makes clothes truly for wearing. It just so happens that many of these products are street-friendly designs that slot easily into any wardrobe.

Established in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1922, the Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company became famous for its robust bib overalls designed originally for toiling in the Texan oil fields.

The product range soon expanded, and the quality ensured the brand’s survival through the Great Depression. Then during World War II, the company answered the call of duty and began manufacturing for the military, before returning to workwear immediately after.

From then on, the brand grew bigger and stronger with each passing decade, bringing in new designs according to the fashion trends of the day, while retaining the classics and staying affordable. The slogan “We’re Basic” said it all, really, and that’s why the brand was a globally recognised name by the 1980s.
